Remote Monitoring Startup Raises $64M to Expand Post-Surgical Care Platform

October 2, 2026Nordic MedTech Fund

Aurelia Health has closed a $64 million Series C led by Nordic MedTech Fund, with participation from three existing investors, to expand its post-surgical remote monitoring platform beyond its current five-country footprint.

The company’s wearable patch tracks wound healing indicators, mobility, and vital signs for 30 days after discharge, flagging care teams when a patient’s recovery trajectory deviates from expected norms. Hospitals using the platform have reported a 22% reduction in 30-day readmissions for orthopedic and abdominal surgery patients.

The new funding will go toward regulatory submissions in Japan and Brazil, along with deeper integration work with hospital discharge-planning software so that enrollment happens automatically rather than requiring manual sign-up at discharge.

Aurelia’s founders, both former cardiac surgery nurses, started the company after observing how much post-operative deterioration went unnoticed simply because patients had already left the building.
